What is The Movie About?
The movie Girl in the Basement follows Sara as her standard, exciting and happy life turns into a nightmare that she cannot escape.
Sara was a vibrant teenager looking forward to her 18th birthday so she could get away from her controlling father, Don.
But then before she could blow out the candles, her world turned extremely dark after Don imprisoned her in the Basement of her house.
While Don tries to convince her wife Irene that Sara ran away from her, he secretly visited her in the Basement to torture and rape her while Irene and her sister Amy were still living upstairs.
